I started with a simple idea: creating educational content that helps kids improve their math skills.

After some research and planning, I decided to focus on math workbooks.

So far, I’ve published 9 math workbooks. Out of these, 8 are live, and one didn’t quite make the cut in terms of royalties.

The Results

From these 8 live math workbooks, I’ve earned $6,492.54 in royalties. It feels great to see the impact of my work and the rewards it brings.

However, it’s important to note that this amount isn’t all profit. Running ads on Amazon is a crucial part of my strategy to reach more customers.

Advertising Expenses

I run ads both on Amazon US and Amazon Canada. Here’s a breakdown of my ad spend:

  • Amazon US: $3,348.24
  • Amazon Canada: CA$53.19 (which is approximately $40.05 USD)

So, my total ad spend is around $3,388.29 USD.

Net Profit From 8 Math Workbooks

After accounting for my ad spend, the net profit from my 8 live math workbooks is $6,492.54 (royalties) — $3,388.29 (total ad spend), which equals $3,104.25.

While this figure reflects the direct profit after advertising expenses, it’s important to remember that the visibility and sales generated by the ads have been crucial in achieving these results.

Why Ads Matter

You might wonder why I spend so much on ads. The truth is, ads help my books get noticed.

With millions of books on Amazon, standing out can be challenging. Ads ensure that my math workbooks reach the right audience, leading to more sales and ultimately, more royalties.
