How I Made $35.90 on TPT With Simple Math Worksheets (Created in Minutes)
Last updated on May 3rd, 2025 at 05:04 pm
Earlier this year, I decided to give Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) another try.
I’ve always known there’s potential there — especially for people like us who create educational content. But instead of overthinking it this time, I just kept it simple.
I created a few math worksheets using a tool I’ve been using for a while now, uploaded them to TPT, and… that was it.
So far, 10 copies have sold, and I’ve made $35.90 in sales…
It’s not a life-changing amount of money, but that’s 10 sales from a couple of tiny products I created in about 30 minutes (per product) using software that does most of the heavy lifting for me.
Let me walk you through how I did it and how you can do it too — even if you’ve never sold anything on TPT before.
The Secret Weapon: Math Worksheets Generator
When I say I created these worksheets fast, I mean really fast.
I used a tool called Math Worksheets Generator — and honestly, it’s been a game changer for anyone publishing math content.
It allows me to generate fully formatted, print-ready worksheets on just about any math topic you can think of. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division — even fractions and decimals.
I’ve used it before to create full workbooks for Amazon KDP. But this time, I wanted to test if simple one-topic worksheets would sell on TPT.
Spoiler: They did.
✨I have also written a whole blog post about creating Math Workbooks for Amazon KDP, you can read my review of Math Worksheets Generator here.
Here’s Exactly What I Did
Step 1 — Picked a Topic: I chose simple topics like 2-digit addition & subtraction. Something teachers and parents are always looking for.
Step 2 — Generated Worksheets: I opened Math Worksheets Generator, selected the relevant math template, adjusted the number of columns and rows, and added some text.
Within minutes, I had 20 clean, printable worksheets ready to go — complete with answer keys.
Note: It took me more time while creating the very first worksheets, it got quicker after I create a couple of more.
Step 3 — Added Some Simple Design: I opened the worksheets in PowerPoint, added a nice border, maybe changed a few fonts. That’s it. Nothing fancy.
Step 4 — I Create Covers/Thumbnails: I quickly created TPT covers/thumbnails using Canva. While doing so, I used big and bold text, a couple interior pages and some free graphics from Canva.
Step 4 — Uploaded to TPT: I wrote a short description, added some keywords, uploaded the product, and hit publish.
That’s all. One tool. A simple topic. Zero stress.

The Results (So Far)
✅ 10 copies sold
✅ $35.90 earned
✅ Still making sales passively
It’s not a huge win — but it is proof that this works.
And here’s the cool part: the products are still live, and they still get views. That $35.90 is just from the first few months (Year to date).
Why This Matters
The best part about this is how repeatable it is.

If a few worksheets can make $35, why not 10? Or 20?
And if you’re already creating content for KDP, Etsy, or your own website — TPT is just one more income stream you can tap into with minimal extra effort.
This doesn’t require fancy design skills, expensive tools, or a huge audience. Just a little bit of focus and the right software.
Want to Try It Yourself?
If you’re creating math content — whether for KDP or TPT — I highly recommend trying out Math Worksheets Generator.

It’s affordable, easy to use, and honestly one of my favorite tools for fast workbook creation.
I’m even thinking of putting together a quick checklist or template bundle to help you get started on TPT — let me know if that’s something you’d be interested in!
This is just the beginning, and I’m excited to see where this little experiment goes. If you’ve been sitting on the fence with TPT, this is your sign to just upload something simple and see what happens.
You never know what might take off.
